I’m Jen. My name may be common but my personality is anything but ordinary. I am happily married and live in the DC metro area with my husband, baby girl and adopted “pit bull,” Fred. While he volunteers at the shelter and devotes time and energy to saving and loving the unwanted, I like to inundate my friends with information about this precious, often-neglected “breed” of dogs. We have both devoted our lives to reaching as many as we can, hoping to eliminate the hatred, myths and abuse.
I currently work for a wonderful plastic surgeon, and am blessed with the flexibility to write during down time at work. Most people think plastic surgery is primarily cosmetic, but a large portion of our patients are treated for breast and other cancers, severe wounds, burns, and injuries.
Five years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have recently started writing more about this illness so I can help raise awareness. It is sometimes difficult to talk about, but writing about it has been a form of therapy.
Thank you for reading my blog, and I hope to hear from you in the comments!
